Funding |
In providing our person-centred support, we work closely with funding bodies including local authority social services departments and National Health Service primary care trusts.
We are also involved in the Supporting People programme, which provides housing-related support to prevent problems that can lead to hospitalisation, institutional care or homelessness and help people make a smooth transition to independent living on leaving institutional accommodation.
Direct payments are another option. Provided by a local authority as cash payments instead of services, they enable the recipient to purchase the care services they have been assessed as needing.
Personal budgets are also designed to increase the service user’s choice in the way they receive their care. They can either have a direct payment or – while still choosing how their care needs are met and who by – leave their local authority to commission the care services.
Individual budgets are similar to personal budgets but cover a range of funding steams, including other streams of financial support, such as Supporting People, Independent Living Allowance and Access to Work.
However the care is funded, our fees are based on the individually-assessed needs and requirements of each client.
