Independent living need not mean isolation. We encourage people to explore opportunities for interaction. However, people can enjoy the privacy and independence of living in their own home, safe in the knowledge that discreet help is at hand if needed.
Parallel Options have a policy to promote choice of home, so that the individual plays an active part in which prospective accommodation is appropriate. We publish a statement of purpose, offer a visit to the home and also demonstrate to each person that we are confident we can meet their needs.
Personal and Health Care
We draw on expert professional guidelines for the services that we provide. In pursuit of the best possible support we produce and regularly update a persons support plan based on an initial and then continuing assessment.
Lifestyle
We understand and respect that every persons' lifestyle is different. We aim to support each person with a lifestyle that satisfies their social, cultural, religious and recreational interests and needs.
Staffing
Staff play a vital role in a persons welfare, therefore we employ sufficient numbers of employees with the relevant mix of skills to meet the individuals needs. All staff hold appropriate qualifications for their jobs, but also receive training to further maximise their skills. All staff work to the Parallel Options philosophy of putting the person first.
