Quality standards |
Quality is at the heart of the way we work. Delivering quality in everything we do is crucial to providing clients with the type of support we would wish to receive ourselves.
By working to the highest standards in key areas we are able to deliver quality in all our services:
Accommodation
Independent living should not mean isolation. We encourage clients to explore opportunities to spend time with other people and make new friends within their local community and through their day-to-day and social activities.
We respect the fact that clients also enjoy the privacy and independence of having their own home, with the reassurance of knowing discreet help is at hand if they need it.
Choosing a place to live is a very personal matter. We all feel more confident and relaxed in surroundings where we feel at home, so each of our clients plays an active part in deciding which accommodation is appropriate, which includes visiting prospective properties.
We also publish a statement of purpose to demonstrate to clients how we will meet their needs and our confidence in our ability to do so.
Lifestyle
We understand and respect that each of our clients is an individual with widely varying likes and dislikes and different lifestyles.
We aim to support each person in the lifestyle of their choice, respecting their social, cultural, religious and recreational interests and needs, providing their choices do not put their own or other people’s health and safety at risk.
Personal and health care
We draw on expert and established professional guidelines to identify and deliver our services.
To help us deliver the best possible support, we produce and regularly update an individual support plan for each client, which reflects the findings of our initial and ongoing assessments.
Staffing
Our staff play a vital role in each client’s welfare, so we make sure our team is adequately staffed and our employees offer the relevant mix of skills to meet the individuals’ needs.
All staff hold appropriate qualifications for their jobs and receive training to further enhance and develop their skills. All our staff work to our philosophy of putting the individual first.
