Tailored support packages

When a client is referred to or approaches us, we can assess their needs and make recommendations for appropriate support within 48 hours. With housing readily available, once funding is in place, our clients can start leading a more independent way of life very quickly.

Each client benefits from a personal support plan designed around their individual needs and which respects their social, cultural, religious and recreational interests. The support plan also includes a financial plan, because we recognise that understanding and managing personal finances can be an important springboard to greater independence and employment opportunities.

Support plans are regularly updated as part of a programme of continuing assessments, to reflect clients’ changing needs and growing independence.

Our support may range from 24-hour care, including sleep-in support to assistance at specific times of the day or help with housing-related tasks, such as obtaining benefits or maintaining the safety and security of the client’s home.

Where our clients enjoy a greater degree of independence and experience, they continue to have the reassurance of being able to contact our background support workers, who are on call at all times.

We understand that our clients enjoy the privacy of their own home but we also encourage involvement in social activities and getting together with other people, to build confidence and social skills.

Our goal is develop client’s decision-making and life skills and, wherever possible, to maximise their employment opportunities.
